Our History
The Avery Companies was founded in 1960 by Donald and Martha Avery. Since the companies' inception, the Avery family has been serving the communities of North Central Connecticut as well as the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts. From its start with small excavation work and septic system installation, the Avery family has spent the last four decades and three generations, creating a one-stop-shop of sorts for their customers. We currently offer our customers a wide range of diverse services including excavation, complete septic system installation and service, commercial grease trap service, portable restroom and roll-off dumpster rental. We also have a well-lit, secure storage facility located at our offices on Field Road in Somers.
Since the companies' founding, the Avery family has based their business philosophies and practices on three simple ideas: hard work, high quality products and superior services for our customers. Our guiding philosophy is simple, "treat people with respect and honesty". In short, we make it a point to treat our customers the way we would want to be treated.
